Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT Program)

The Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program serves adults with opioid or opiate dependence, utilizing medications like buprenorphine with naloxone (generic for Suboxone®) or naltrexone (generic for Vivitrol®). Suboxone creates a ceiling effect on opiate euphoria, while Vivitrol is a monthly injection that reduces cravings for opioids, opiates, and alcohol. Program components include medication management, individual and group therapy, regular drug screening, and peer support. Consumers can participate for 6 to 12 months or longer, based on individual treatment needs, upon enrollment in the MAT Program.
