Juvenile Remediation

The Juvenile Competency Attainment Program, based on evidence, offers educational and training services aimed at helping individuals achieve competency as defined in WV Code §49-4-712 and §49-4-727 through §49-4-735. Referrals come from the court and are handled by outpatient children’s managers. This program aims to: Enable individuals to gain trial competency by comprehending court procedures; Equip them to engage in their own defense by providing pertinent information about their circumstances; Foster an understanding of the potential outcomes of court proceedings.
